May 2022 What began as a Phoenix rising out of the ashes became an abstract interpretation depicting the chaos and turmoil that inevitably comes with complete transformation. Whether it be an individual, a community or a people, “The Rising” represents courage, conviction, rage, determination and drive to rise out of the ashes of what was. My heart goes out to those who have had to flee their home and country.
